Renovating at the Core

This whole house renovation and addition provides a married adult couple without children an updated home with a new kitchen, media room and an expanded second story. The couple had a limited budget and asked us to keep all the details to clean lines. After the spaces were studied and plans were drawn. The area around the stair became the focus of the design. This idea created a new skylight above the stair which brought light into the center of the house, clerestory light into the bathrooms, a new cable rail system and coffered ceiling.
