Architectural Thought continued The varying thickness of the structure and surface along with gradations of opacity afford varying degrees of publicity and pockets of privacy. The structure at times could be considered to be “habitable”, as could the interior surfaces. This allowed the scale of the structure to establish a proper reciprocal between the buildings program pieces and site. It also allowed for interesting views of passage and connection through and around surfaces.
